Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeabler, selektiver Inhibitor von COX-2 in-vitro. Hemmt COX-2 in Schaf-Plazenta (IC₅₀ = 3,8 µ;M), während die COX-1-Aktivität bei Konzentration bis zu 100 µ;M unberührt bleibt. Zeigt eine starke entzündungshemmende und analgesische Aktivität in-vivo in Ratten bei Konzentrationen von 0,3 bis 5 mg/kg.

Ein zellpermeabler, selektiver Inhibitor von Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in-vitro. Hemmt COX-2 in Schaf-Plazenta (IC₅₀ = 3,8 µ;M), während die COX-1-Aktivität bei Konzentration bis zu 100 µ;M unberührt bleibt. Zeigt eine starke entzündungshemmende und analgesische Aktivität in-vivo in Ratten bei Konzentrationen von 0,3 bis 5 mg/kg. Erzeugt keine signifikanten gastrointestinalen Läsionen, auch nicht bei oralen Einzeldosen von 1000 mg/kg. Ist ein nützliches Tool für die Erforschung der Rolle von COX-2 in physiologischen und pathophysiologischen Prozessen.
