18:1 PI(3,4)P2 (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1′-myo-inositol-3′,4′-bisphosphate)) is an ammonium salt of modified lipid.
Inositol phospholipid species are membrane-bound signaling molecules that have been implicated in almost all aspects of cellular physiology, including cellular growth, metabolism, proliferation, and survival.

Anwendung

18:1 PI(3,4)P2 (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1′-myo-inositol-3′,4′-bisphosphate) (ammonium salt)) has been used:
  • in liposomes/supported lipid bilayer preparation[1]
  • in liposome co-sedimentation[2]
  • in the preparation of anionic phospholipid liposomes[3]

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

PI(3,4)P2 can act as a lipid second messenger. In mast cells, PI(3,4)P2 plays a key role in protein kinase B (PKB) phosphorylation on Ser473 sites.[4]
