Allgemeine Beschreibung

1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluor-2-propanol ist ein Lösungsmittel für die Peptidchemie in der Lösungsphase.[1] Dieses fluorierte polare Lösungsmittel mit hoher Ionisierungskraft erleichtert Reaktionen vom Friedel-Crafts-Typ unter Verwendung kovalenter Reagenzien in Abwesenheit eines Lewis-Säure-Katalysators.[2] Es verbessert außerdem die Wirksamkeit von Rhodium(I)-katalysierten intramolekularen [4+2]-Cycloadditionen von ethergebundenen Alkinyldienen und [5+2]-Cycloadditionen von Alkinylvinylcyclopropanen.[3] 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluor-2-propanol-Cluster katalysieren die Epoxidation von Cycloocten und 1-Octen mit Wasserstoffperoxid.[4]

Anwendung

1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluor-2-propanol wurde zur Herstellung von Hexafluoroalkohol-funktionalisierten Methacrylat-Polymeren für lithographische Materialien bzw. Materialien mit Nanostrukturierung[5] verwendet.
