Descripción general

El ultrafiltro EDS-Pak®, un cartucho a base de carbono activado, elimina eficazmente contaminantes orgánicos como los ftalatos, el bisfenol A y el nonilfenol. Está validado para producir 300 l de agua sin disruptores endocrinos a partir del agua ultrapura Milli-Q® como agua de abastecimiento.
El agua ultrapura tratada con EDS-Pak® es adecuada para la preparación de disoluciones tampón, blancos y patrones empleados en la cuantificación de los disruptores endocrinos.

Aplicación

El ultrafiltro EDS-Pak® se utiliza para producir agua sin disruptores endocrinos (ED) en el punto de dispensación de las gamas Milli-Q® IQ y EQ 7. Elimina eficazmente los niveles traza de ED contaminantes del agua ultrapura para su uso en aplicaciones de laboratorio, como la preparación de muestras o la preparación de disoluciones patrón o de trabajo para la evaluación de la toxicidad medioambiental de los bisfenoles,[1] el análisis de disruptores endocrinos en el agua, el análisis de productos farmacéuticos y sus productos de degradación en las aguas residuales,[2] el análisis de alcaloides en los productos alimenticios saludables y [3] el análisis del ácido alfa-lipoico en muestras biológicas mediante técnicas cromatográficas.

    1. Recommended storage conditions: temperatures from 5 to 30°C; humidity between 10 and 80%. The original sealed bag (if provided) must be kept intact before the first use to protect the purification element from foreign matter.

  6. If I have a final filter that I use only occasionally (e.g., Biopak®) and have another filter (e.g. Millipak®) that I most of the time, can I keep the 'occasional-use' filter for use again at a later time?

    1. It is not possible to re-use a filter that has been used and then removed because air intake during replacement creates an airlock and blocks water passing through the filter. If you regularly need two different filters, we recommend using two POD dispensers.

  9. How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

    1. The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.

  10. Can consumables be opened and refilled?

    1. Unfortunately, this is not possible because of safety issues and the need to guarantee the quality of consumables and their interior purification components. Our consumables are manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility France in agreement with high quality standards.
