BioTracker脂质染料可快速染色活细胞或固定细胞内的脂滴，过程中无需洗涤，对其他细胞膜、细胞器的背景染色极低。染色后还可进行细胞固定和透化。

BioTracker 488绿色脂质染料的激发波长约为430 nm，在405 nm或488 nm处的激发效果一样好。染料将细胞中的脂滴染成亮绿色荧光，可以用FITC通道检测。

  1. Are there any solutions for the high background issue experienced when using the product with heart tissue cells?

    1. The high background issue could be due to the use of antifade, which is not recommended. Instead, it's suggested to use PBS as the mounting medium and nail polish as the coverslip sealant. Additionally, using other mounting media such as EverBrite™ or FluoroShield™ may impact staining patterns, so it's important to consider the recommended mounting methods to avoid issues with signal intensity and staining patterns.

  2. Is BioTracker 488 Green Lipid Dye (SCT144) toxic for the cells? Can they be monitored for extra time after staining? How long does the stain last in this case?

    1. No cytotoxicity of this dye has been observed with incubation periods of up to 24 hours. Cytotoxicity beyond the 24-hour incubation period has not been studied. Suitability for extended incubation times would have to be determined by the end user.
