It is recommended to fix and permeabilize the cells before staining with the BioTracker membrane dye and prior to performing immunofluorescent staining. To prevent dye redistribution, avoid using detergents after the staining step.

BioTracker 555 Orange Cytoplasmic Membrane Dye (Cat. no. SCT107) is a lipophilic carbocyanine dye. Lipophilic carbocyanine dyes like this product have also been used to stain cells or tissues after formaldehyde fixation.
