General description

Diethofencarb is a systemic, phenyl-carbamate fungicide, used for the control of gray mold on fruits and vegetables. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of phospholipids and fatty acid biosynthesis in pathogens.[1]

Application

Diethofencarb may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in peel and pulp of apples using dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction, followed by high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection (HPLC-DAD).[1]
