应用

3-碘-L-酪氨酸已作为酪氨酸羟化酶的抑制剂用于 果蝇 [2] [3] 和蚕蛹。[4]

生化/生理作用

3-碘酪氨酸 (3-IY) 抑制酪氨酸羟化酶，后者催化酪氨酸形成左旋多巴。[3]严重甲减和甲状腺肿时，碘酪氨酸脱碘酶缺乏导致血清和尿中 3-IY 水平升高。[5]
TH（酪氨酸 3-羟化酶）负责催化去甲肾上腺素能生物合成途径的第一步。[6]TH 突变 [7] 与酪氨酸羟化酶缺乏相关，导致诸如婴儿型帕金森综合征和多巴（ 多巴胺 ）反应性肌张力障碍以及围产期发病的脑病。[8]
