Phosphatidic acid (PA) is synthesized by the action of phospholipase D (PLD) on glycerophospholipids and by phosphorylation of diacylglycerol (DAG) by DAG kinase.[1]

애플리케이션

Egg PA has been used in SEIPEN binding studies.[2] It is suitable for use in the preparation of liposomes[3] and to deduce different species of phosphatidic acid from egg by liquid chromatography-mass spectroscopy (LC-MS) and least squares spectral resolution (LSSR) analysis.[4]

생화학적/생리학적 작용

Phosphatidic acid (PA) contributes to membrane biogenesis by involving in the synthesis of glycerophospholipids like phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylserine. PA is implicated in cell signaling.[1]
