Lectins are proteins of plant origin, which have the ability to bind to certain neuronal surface glycoproteins and glycolipids. This ability of theirs helps them to be used as neuroanatomical tracers, as they are taken and transported in a retrograde or anterograde fashion.[1]
アプリケーション
Lectin from Lens culinaris (lentil) is used for size- or charge-based separation of proteins with the ANA. (Anisotropic Nanofilter Array: ANA).[2]
生物化学的／生理学的作用
LcHは血液型特異的ではありません。末端のα-D-マンノシル残基およびα-D-グルコシル残基に親和性があります。LcHにはLcH-A(分子量49,000)とLcH-B(分子量49,000)の2種類の異性体があります。LcHにはマイトジェン活性があります。精製済みレクチンから調製されます。

電気泳動ではイソレクチンLcH-A・LcH-Bに相当する主要なバンド2本が出現します。
調製ノート
アフィニティ-クロマトグラフィ-にて高度に精製しています。
アナリシスノート
凝集活性は、1 mg/mL溶液をPBS(pH 6.8)で段階希釈して測定し、μg/mLの単位で表します。凝集活性は、25°Cで1時間インキュベートした場合、ヒト赤血球の2%懸濁液を凝集させる最低濃度で示されます。
