This product consists of regenerated cellulose made from virgin wood pulp. Standard Grade Regenerated Cellulose (RC) can be used with dilute strong acids and bases, concentrated weak acids and bases, most alcohols, and some mild or dilute organics, including DMSO. Standard Grade RC can tolerate pH 2 - 12 and temperatures 4 - 121 °C.

保水材として添加されたグリセロールの除去は、流水中で 3～4 時間チューブを洗浄することで達成できます。 硫黄化合物の除去は、チューブを 0.3％（w/v） の流化ナトリウム溶液で、80°Cにて 1 分間処理することで達成できます。 温水（60°C）で 2 分間洗浄し、0.2％（v/v）の硫酸溶液で酸性にした後、温水で酸を洗い流してください。 本チューブは、分子量 12,000 以上のタンパク質のほとんどを保持します。
