Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Copper chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of natural chlorophyll pigment and is used as a common food colorant. It is usually synthesized by the alkaline hydrolysis of chlorophyll.[1]

Applicazioni

Copper chlorophyllin may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations and food products by spectroscopy,[2] and high performance liquid chromatography.[2][3][4][5]
