Spermidine is a naturally occurring polyamine. It is associated with various cellular functions. It is responsible for the condensation and aggregation of DNA in aqueous solution.[1][2] Spermidine is known to extend lifespan via epigenetic modifications, induction of cell death and inhibition of necrosis.[3]
Spermidine 0.1M solution is an additive screening solution of Additive Screening Kit. Additive Screen kit is designed to allow rapid and convenient evaluation of additives and their ability to influence the crystallization of the sample. The Additive Kit provides a tool for refining crystallization conditions.

What is the solvent for this product? Is there an additive that allows it to remain stable at 4 degrees for an extended period of time?

This product is a 0.1 M solution of spermidine in water. There is no preservative added. The material is sterile filtered and dispensed to autoclaved bottles. Thus microbial contamination is eliminated. Amines are oxidized by contact with air/oxygen. Stability will be maintained if the oxygen-free water is used for dilution and vial headspace is cleared of oxygen using an inert gas such as argon or nitrogen.
