Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a natural phospholipid nutrient, which is located in the brain, lungs, heart, liver and skeletal muscle.[1] It is an important component of the cell membrane.[2]

Applicazioni

Brain PS has also been used in protein-lipid overlay (PLO) assay to evaluate the binding of SEIPIN to phosphatidic acid (PA).[3]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

Phosphatidylserine (PS) regulates the activity of receptors, ion channels, enzymes and signaling molecules. It is implicated in monitoring membrane fluidity.[1] PS plays a vital role in apoptosis and blood clotting.[2]
