Applicazioni

Exo 1 has been used as a component of the BRB80 buffer to study coat protein 1 (COPI)-mediated membrane trafficking.[1] It has also been used as a Golgi inhibitor to study its effects on the long interspersed nuclear element-1 (L1) retrotransposition.[2]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

Exo 1 is a cell-permeable methylanthranilate analog that promotes the release of adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-ribosylation factor (ARF) 1 from Golgi membranes.[3] It also inhibits the membrane trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi bodies.[4]
