Das Enzym von Sigma wurde zur Bestimmung von Phosphokreatin in Neuronen des Hippocampus verwendet, die aus Rattenhirnen isoliert wurden.[1]

Ergibt bei 5 mg/mL in 0,25 M Glycylglycin, pH 7,4, eine farblose bis leicht gelbliche Lösung.

Proteingehalt mittels Biuret-Reaktion bestimmt.

Eine Einheit überträgt 1,0 μmol Phosphat aus Phosphokreatin an ADP pro Minute bei einem pH-Wert von 6,5 und bei 30 °C.
