General description
Acetylcholin ist ein Neurotransmitter, der an Nervenendigungen sowohl im zentralen als auch im peripheren Nervensystem freigesetzt wird. Acetylcholinchlorid (C7H16ClNO2) ist ein stabiler cholinerger Agonist mit muscarinischer und nikotinischer Wirkung. Es ist in Form von weißen oder cremefarbenen hygroskopischen Kristallen oder als kristallines Pulver erhältlich. Acetylcholinchlorid ist von Natur aus hygroskopisch und in Wasser, Alkohol, Propylenglykol und Chloroform sehr gut löslich.
Application
Acetylcholinchlorid wird verwendet:
- als Mittel zur Auslösung der sudomotorischen Axonreflexreaktion während autonomen Tests
- zur Induktion der Kontraktionsamplitude der ringförmig angeordneten glatten Muskulatur (PCSMS) bei Ratten
- als Substrat für die Acetylcholinesterase
- zur Stimulation nach Entladung in Aplysia-Beutelzellneuronen
Biochem/physiol Actions
Acetylcholinchlorid, injiziert in einer Dosis von 20 mg/kg Körpergewicht, reduziert die Mortalität und die proinflammatorischen Plasma-Zytokine bei Mäusen mit experimentell induzierter Sepsis . Der cholinerge entzündungshemmende Mechanismus wird wahrscheinlich durch die Interaktion von Acetylcholin mit dem α7n-Cholinrezeptor auf Monozyten, Makrophagen und Neutrophilen vermittelt, wodurch die Spiegel proinflammatorischer Zytokine wie TNF-α, IL-1β und IL-6 gesenkt werden.
Endogener Neurotransmitter in cholinergenen Synapsen; verstärkt das Aktionspotential am Sarcolemma und ruft dadurch Muskelkontraktionen hervor.

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. What are the recommended storage conditions for item A6625, Acetylcholine chloride, after reconstitution?

The stock solution can be stored at temperatures below -20°C for several months. It's advisable to prepare and use the solution on the same day. However, if necessary, stock solutions can be prepared in advance, provided they are sealed and stored below -20°C. Typically, the stock solution remains stable for several months. Prior to use, it's recommended to allow the vial to reach room temperature for at least an hour before opening it.
