Allgemeine Beschreibung

Tetrahydrofuran (THF) ist eine heterozyklische Verbindung (zyklischer Ether). Es ist farblos, weist eine geringe Viskosität auf und ist in einer Reihe von Lösungsmitteln gut löslich. Es wird verbreitet als Lösungsmittel in organischen Synthesen verwendet und ist besonders beliebt für Reaktionen mit organometallischen Verbindungen und Grignard-Reagenzien. Aufgrund der Bildung von organischen Peroxiden bei der Langzeitlagerung wird THF in der Regel stabilisiert, indem butyliertes Hydroxytoluol (BHT) zugegeben wird. BHT beseitigt die freien Radikale, die für die Bildung von Peroxid erforderlich sind.

Anwendung

Tetrahydrofuran (THF) wird in den folgenden Prozessen als Lösungsmittel verwendet:

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
