S9883 have not been tested in combination with Product C3061, and as such it cannot be confirmed if marine species would grow in these conditions. Regarding the preparation of the Cyanobacteria BG-11 Freshwater Solution, 20 mL of the solution shall be diluted in 1 liter of water. For the cultivation of marine species, 10 grams of sodium chloride and 1 µg of vitamin B12 shall be added per liter of prepared medium.

Hi, is this item have an ex stock? Is this media ready to be used or it need to be add with other trace element before use? My sample is from fresh water and try to culture and isolate different type of cyanobacteria such as Cylindrospermopsis , etc

This medium is a 50X concentrate. 20 mL of this product is sufficient to prepare 1L of 1X culture medium. This formulation is intended for use in freshwater culture. For use with marine organisms, add 10 g/L sodium chloride and 1 µg/L vitamin B12 to the prepared 1X medium. No additional trace elements are required.
