Description générale

Ac2-26 is a Lipocortin 1/Annexin 1 Peptide Mimetic, derived from the N-terminal region of annexin A1 (AnxA1). It contains residues 2–26 of AnxA1.[1] Ac2-26 activates formyl peptide receptor family members formyl peptide receptor (FPR), FPR-like (FPRL) 1 and FPRL2. It exhibits an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the adhesion and transmigration of leukocytes (leukocyte extravasation). This facilitates the growth and migration of epithelial cells, aiding in tissue repair.[2] Ac2-26 also serves as a cardioprotective peptide. It is observed that Ac2-26 reduces acute lung injury caused by ischemia and reperfusion.[1]

    1. The solubility of this product has not been tested by QC, and there is no solubility information available in our database or COA. However, according to a Google search, the solubility of Ac2-26 trifluoroacetate is as follows:
      In Vitro:
      - H2O: 0.11 mg/mL (0.03 mM; ultrasonic and adjust pH to 13 with NaOH)
      - DMSO: < 1 mg/mL (ultrasonic) (insoluble or slightly soluble)
      In Vivo:
      - Solvent 1: PBS
      - Solubility: 1 mg/mL (0.31 mM)
      - Clarity: Clear solution
      - Requirements: Ultrasonic and adjust pH to 9 with NaOH

    1. The solubility of this product is not determined. However, other sources suggest that this compound is soluble in Phosphate Buffered Saline at 1 mg/mL. Sonication or increasing the pH to 9 by adding NaOH drop-wise may be required.
