General description
2xYT (2x-Hefeextrakt-Trypton-Medium) ist ein mikrobielles Standard-Wachstumsmedium zur Kultivierung von E. coli und M13-Bakteriophagen. Die nährstoffreiche mikrobielle Bouillon enthält Peptide, Aminosäuren und wasserlösliche Vitamine in einer Formulierung mit niedrigem Salzgehalt.
Application
2xYT-Medium wird für die nicht selektive Kultivierung von M13-Bakteriophagen und E.-coli-Stämmen für das Klonen , die DNA-Plasmidproduktion und die Produktion rekombinanter Proteine verwendet. [1][2] Es ist ebenso geeignet für die selektive Kultivierung, wenn entsprechende Antibiotika hinzugefügt werden.
