Ideally, the product nor its impurities should be entering a wastewater stream - any waste generated from the use of this material should be collected and disposed of as chemical waste. As per section 6 of the SDS, this product should not be entering drains.

Is it possible that p-cresol could be coming from this compound? Not sure if the tert butyl and methyl groups could hydrolyse in alkaline or acidic conditons. Trying to figure out how p-cresol gets into our wastewater and would appreciate any advice!
