Is there a sample protocol for this product ? There id low solubility of E4009 in even ethanol (1 mg/mL) in that case how to make the usual eosin concentration of 1-5% w/v for use in an H&E staining reaction.
1 answer-
It is not feasible to dissolve catalog number E4009 to a concentration of 1 to 5% in alcohol. For H&E staining or staining sperm for viability, Eosin Y disodium salt is typically used, rather than Eosin Y free acid. Dry dyes, available under catalog numbers E4382 or 861006, are also used, along with various solutions for H&E staining, which also utilize only Eosin Y disodium salt. A 5% Eosin Y solution is available with the catalog number 318906, which is also formulated with Eosin Y disodium salt.
