General description

Propofol, also known as Diprivan®, is a short-acting, hypnotic drug intravenously administered for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia and sedation. This certified reference solution is suitable for a variety of uses from forensic and forensic toxicology analysis to drug monitoring in plasma or whole blood.

Application

  • Thin-layer chromatography combined with diode laser thermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.: This study explores the integration of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) with diode laser thermal vaporization and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The research demonstrates the application of TLC aluminum sheets with cellulose in separating complex mixtures. The combined technique offers enhanced sensitivity and specificity for analyzing trace elements and isotopic composition in various samples (Bednařík et al., 2014).
