生化／生理作用
NISCH (nischarin) associates with the α5 subunit of integrins. It behaves as a tumor suppressor in various malignancies. It is hypermethylated in ovarian cancer, and silencing of NISCH is linked with tumor proliferation and invasion.[1] It also regulates breast cancer cell invasion by controlling α5 integrin expression as well as α5 integrin-, FAK (focal adhesion kinase)-, and Rac (v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog)-associated signaling.
