生物素是一种水溶性维生素。哺乳动物依赖植物和微生物饮食来源获取生物素。[1]生物素由两个作为侧链连接到戊酸部分的环组成。其中一个环连接至脲基，另一个环连接四氢噻吩基。[2]

應用

生物素还可用于从亲和素/链霉亲和素树脂上洗脱蛋白。生物素可用于：
  • 少突胶质细胞培养。[3][4]
  • 作为芽孢杆菌(Bacillus)生长的维生素补充剂。[5]
  • 免疫组织学操作方案中的内源性生物素阻断。[6][7]

生化／生理作用

生物素是一种小分子，而且它与生物活性大分子共存时并不会影响到大分子的生物学功能。生物素-（链霉）亲和素系统是多种应用所必需的。生物素还可作为各种羧化酶的辅因子/辅酶，如丙酮酸羧化酶、乙酰辅酶A羧化酶 1 和 2、3-甲基巴豆酰辅酶A羧化酶 (MCC) 和丙酰辅酶A羧化酶 (PCC)。[1]它可催化丙酮酸和CO2形成草酰乙酸。与亲和素或链霉亲和素偶联的生物素可帮助将靶分子（抗体、核苷酸、蛋白A等）与标记系统（酶、荧光、化学发光探针）相连接。该复合物可用于多种检测系统，如免疫检测、DNA杂交检测、免疫组化和流式细胞术。该方法还可用于多种目标分子的纯化和表征。生物素参与基因、细胞信号传导和染色质结构的表观遗传调控。[1]

  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
