Captan, an agricultural fungicide, reacts with sulfhydryl group to release thiophosgenes which can denature proteins. It has carcinogenic and teratogenic properties which can cause oral toxicity to birds and mammals.[1]
應用
Captan has been used as reference standard in HPLC analysis to determine captan concentration from tablets.[2]
