Nafion perfluorinated membrane is mainly used as a proton exchange membrane (PEM) for fuel cell applications. It can also be used as a membrane for lithium isotope separation, which can be further be utilized as a fuel for fusion reactors. It has excellent chemical stability and high cationic conductivity. It finds potential usage in batteries and sensors.[1][2][3]
Surface that is shiny and smooth must be installed facing the cathode.
