2-Amino-5-chlorophenol can be synthesized from 2-chloro-5-nitrophenol via reduction.[1] It can also be obtained from 1-chloro-4-nitrobenzene by using a bacterial strain LW1.[2] 2-Amino-5-chlorophenol participates in the condensation reaction with acetylferrocene to afford ferrocenyl Schiff bases bearing a phenol group.[3]
