Erythrosin B solutions can be prepared in various solvents. The dye is commonly prepared in water, buffered salt solutions or in ethanol. The Biological Stain Commission dissolves the dye in clove oil for the testing that is performed for certification of biological dyes. The solvent chosen will depend upon the staining applications. Erythrosin B can be dissolved in water to ~11 percent and 5% in ethanol. Some application recommend mixing or vortexing the solutions before use

Although there are no specific instructions for the use of product 200964, instructions are available for another Erythrosin B.
