Anti-Leptin antibody produced in chicken has been used for the immunohistochemistry study of mouse embryo and ovum. It is suitable for western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500 and for cell staining at a working dilution of 1:200.

It is also involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and wound healing. Defects in this gene can cause a rare disease characterized by low levels of serum leptin, severe hyperphagia and severe obesity, and morbid obesity with hypogonadism.
