Eppendorf Combitips are our tip of choice when working with Multipette multiple dispensing pipettes. Combitips advanced dispenser tips offer you many advantages for working in a modern laboratory thanks to their revolutionary design. With an integrated piston, they work according to the positive displacement principle and ensure that the correct volume of liquid is dispensed regardless of the physical properties of the liquid you are working with (e.g. viscosity, volatility, density, temperature). This allows you to dispense with high precision regardless of the flow properties of the liquid and, thanks to the hermetically sealed piston that prevents contamination by aerosols, you can work safely with radioactive or toxic materials. Eppendorf pioneered the Multipette/Combitips multiple dispensing system in 1978 and has improved it several times since then. This was the very first pipetting system that allowed the user to fill the tip once and dispense multiple times. The concept continues to be a driver for efficient liquid handling and is the tool of choice in many laboratories working with plates or series of reaction vessels.
