一般描述
纤连蛋白单克隆抗体（小鼠IgM同种型）来自于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞与免疫小鼠脾细胞融合而成的杂交瘤。纤连蛋白是一种细胞外基质蛋白，由两个几乎相同的分子量为220-240kDa的多肽以二硫键交联而成。细胞纤连蛋白在结构上和抗原性上类似于血浆的冷凝球蛋白，因此两者的多克隆抗体经常会交叉反应。蛋白含有多个功能和结构不同的结构域，可以结合细胞表面、胶原蛋白和肝素等。
特异性
该抗体标记鸡胚的胞周基质以及在组织培养物中生长的小鼠和人成纤维细胞的细胞纤连蛋白。它可用于细胞纤连蛋白的免疫亲和纯化。

生化/生理作用
在体内和体外培养中，纤连蛋白可增强细胞粘附和扩散，并影响细胞迁移途径。已有研究表明，在恶性转化过程中，很多细胞失去了其表面结合的纤连蛋白。
纤连蛋白是一种可溶性血浆蛋白，可调节组织修复和血栓形成。不溶性纤连蛋白在基底膜和结缔组织基质中表达，并调节细胞粘附和迁移。纤连蛋白的改变与微血管血栓生成、弥散性血管内凝血和动脉粥样硬化有关。
