Casein is a milk-derived substance routinely used in blocking buffers for Western, Southern and Northern Blot procedures. Blocking agents are used to reduce non-specific binding of detection reagents to the membranes.
애플리케이션
Suitable as a blocking Buffer for Western, Southern and Northern Blot membranes. Blocked membranes can then be used in either chemiluminescent, colorimetric, or DIG detection assays.
특징 및 장점
Better blocking performance than dried milk or BSA
Compatible with neutral and positively-charged membranes
Compatible with chemiluminescent, colorimetric , and DIG detection assays

Invasion of glial cells by the human polyomavirus, JC virus (JCV), leads to a rapidly progressing and uniformly fatal demyelinating disease known as progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. The endocytic trafficking steps used by JCV to invade cells and initiate infection are
Clostridium perfringens is an anaerobic spore-forming pathogen of humans and animals. C. perfringens type A strains, 13, CPN50, and NCTC8237, isolated from human gas gangrene, bound specifically to human fi bronectin (Fn). The trypsin-treatment of the bacterial cells significantly reduced
Minichromosome maintenance proteins (Mcm) 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are related by sequence and form a variety of complexes that unwind DNA, including Mcm4/6/7. A Mcm4/6/7 trimer forms one half of the Mcm2-7 hexameric ring and can be
α1,3-Galactosyltransferase gene-knockout pigs transgenic for porcine cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 immunoglobulin (pCTLA4-Ig) have been produced to reduce T-cell-mediated rejection following xenotransplantation. The level of soluble pCTLA4-Ig in their blood was greatly in excess of the therapeutic level in patients, rendering
