Rivastigmine Related Compound E is an impurity of rivastigmine, a novel acetylcholine esterase inhibitor. It is mainly used for the treatment of Alzheimer′s disease.[1]

Rivastigmine may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations[2][1] using electroanalytical technique[2] and high-performance thin layer chromatography method.[1]
