Descrizione generale

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165), also known as VEGF-A, is a homodimeric glycoprotein and is expressed as multiple splice variants.[1][2] Recombinant rat VEGF is a double, non-glycosylated, polypeptide containing 164 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 38.4kDa.

Applicazioni

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165) has been used to study the effects of VEGF on the morphology and survival of neurons and glial cells.[3]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165) has been shown to have pro-angiogenic properties. It has a role in the proliferation of endothelial cells and neuroprotection.[1]

Stato fisico

Lyophilized from a sterile (0.2 micron) filtered aqueous solution containing 10 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5

Ricostituzione

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
