Descrizione generale

Thyroglobulin (Tg) is the precursor of the iodinated thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). Tg is a high molecular weight glycoprotein found in normal thyroid follicular cells.[1] Thyroglobulin is useful for identifying thyroid origin of carcinoma of papillary and follicular types in the setting of carcinoma of unknown primary.[1][2]

Linkage

Thyroglobulin Positive Control Slides, Product No. 340S, are available for immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections).
