Aplicación

Adenosine 5′-monophosphate sodium salt has been used:
  • as a component of reactivation medium to reactivate mouse sperm extracted from caudae epididymides for sperm motility studies [1]
  • as a substrate in signal amplification by reversible exchange (SABRE) method to develop biocompatible SABRE hyperpolarization[2]
  • as a substrate in wheat and Aspergillus niger phytase, assay[3]
  • in luciferase assay to monitor intracellular α-synuclein oligomerization in S1S2 cells[4]
  • to study its effects on induction of therapeutic hypothermia and neuronal damage in a rat model of cardiac arrest (CA) and resuscitation[5]

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Adenosine 5′-monophosphate (5′-AMP) is used to enhance flavor in meat and poultry soups. It is also used as a food additive for specific nutritional purposes.[6] 5′-AMP is an activator of a class of protein kinases known as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). [7] Along with inosine monophosphate (IMP), AMP mediates the dissociation of skeletal muscle actomyosin to actin and myosin. Therefore, these two factors may be involved in causing the resolution of rigor mortis in muscles.[8]

In adult rat cardiac myocytes adrenaline decreased AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase) activity with a half-time of approximately 4 min, decreased phosphorylation of AMPK (α-Thr172) and decreased phosphorylation of ACC (acetyl-CoA carboxylase). Inactivation of AMPK by adrenaline was through both α1- and

Animal studies and pathophysiological considerations suggest that therapeutic hypothermia after cardiopulmonary resuscitation is the more effective the earlier it is induced. Therefore this study is sought to examine whether pharmacological facilitated hypothermia by administration of 5'-adenosine monophosphate (AMP) is neuroprotective

AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is a sensor of energy status that maintains cellular energy homeostasis. It arose very early during eukaryotic evolution, and its ancestral role may have been in the response to starvation. Recent work shows that the kinase

Adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP) is often used in meat and poultry soups as a flavor enhancer (flavor modifier), or as food additives for specific nutritional purposes. Our previous research as well as evidence from others showed that actomyosin could be dissociated

Protocolos

To measure 5′-nucleotidase activity, this procedure uses adenosine 5’-monophosphate and a color reagent to create a standard curve for determining the micromoles of phosphorus liberated.

HILIC separation is an alternative that permits sensitive MS detection and without the use of ion-pair reagents.
