Aplicación

Brij® L23 is a detergent used for measuring the concentration of carbon black in lung tissues.[1] It has also been used for selective and rapid solubilization of microbial membrane aldehyde dehydrogenase.[2] Additionally, the product has also been used for assessing whether acrolein could lead to pro-enzyme activation by using gelatin zymography.[3]

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Brij® L23 also referred to as Brij 35 or Polyoxyethylene (23) lauryl ether is a non-ionic detergent that lowers the non-specific protein adsorption and reduces electroosmotic pumping drastically.[4] This allows the pH to be varied without adversely affecting the flow rate. It also used as a nonionic surfactant that decreases the absorbance of the blank, inhibits turbidity as well as provides linearity.[5]

Otras notas

Non-ionic polyoxyethylene ether.[6] Used for selective and rapid solubilization of microbial membrane aldehyde dehydrogenase.[2]

Retinoid X receptor-alpha (RXRα) is a potent regulator of inflammatory responses; however, its therapeutic potential for inflammatory cancer remains to be explored. We previously discovered that RXRα is abnormally cleaved in tumor cells and tissues, producing a truncated RXRα (tRXRα).
