Especificidad

Recognizes phospho-BMK1/Erk5 (Thr218, Tyr220).

Inmunógeno

KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 213-224 of human BMK1/Erk5

Aplicación

Peptide Inhibition Analysis:
HeLa cell lysate, HeLa cell lysate+ non-phosphorylated protein, and HeLa cell lysate + phosphorylated peptide were probed with Cat. No. 07-507, Anti-phospho-BMK 1/ERK5 (Thr218/Tyr220) (1µg/mL(1:1000) dilution). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminesence detection system.

Arrow indicates BMK1/ERK5 (~115 kDa) on HeLa cell lysate & HeLa cell lysate + non-phosphorylated peptide. No band is present on the HeLa cell lysate + phosphorylated peptide indicating successful peptide inhibition of the antibody.

We have identified two components of a new protein kinase signaling cascade, MAPK/ERK kinase 5 (MEK5) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase 5 (ERK5). The MEK5 cDNA was isolated by degenerate PCR and encodes a 444-amino acid protein, which has approximately 40%

Extracellular signal-regulated kinase 5 (ERK5) is also known as big MAPK (BMK1) or MAPK7. ERK5 is 115 kDa in mass and therefore larger than the other MAPKs such as ERK1/2, JNK, and p38. Like other MAPKs, ERK5 is ubiquitously expressed

Cancer cell motility and invasiveness are fundamental characteristics of the malignant phenotype and are regulated through diverse signaling networks involving kinases and transcription factors. This study establishes an estrogen receptor (ERα)/MAPK (ERK5)/cofilin (CFL1) network that specifies the degree of breast

The polarized distribution of membrane proteins into apical and basolateral domains provides the basis for specialized functions of epithelial tissues. The EGF receptor (EGFR) plays important roles in embryonic development, adult-epithelial tissue homeostasis, and growth and survival of many carcinomas.
