Allgemeine Beschreibung
Mineralöle gelten für gewöhnlich als Gemisch aus flüssigen Kohlenwasserstoffen. Es wird mittels Destillation und Raffination aus Rohöl gewonnen.[1]
Anwendung
Mineralöl ist geeignet für die Verwendung als Überlagerung zur Regulierung der Verdampfung und der Kreuzkontamination von Proben bei einer Vielzahl molekularbiologischer Anwendungen.[2][3][4]
Mineralöl wird verwendet:
- zur Suspendierung von Gelen bei Assays zur Kapillargefäßkontraktion[5]
- in Polymerasekettenreaktionen (PCR)-Reaktionsmischungen für die Bildung einer Dampfsperre zur Verhinderung der Verdampfung der Reaktion bei hohen Temperaturen[6]
- als kontinuierliche Phase zur Verhinderung von Tropfenkoaleszenz in Emulgierungssystemen[7]
Biochem./physiol. Wirkung
Mineralöl gewährleistet bessere Isolationsfestigkeit im Vergleich zu Luft. Bei der Verwendung in einem Netztransformator verbessert es die Wärmeableitung für Spulen.[8]

Hello, I´m looking for a mineral oil for sulfur pattern production. The COA of this product says "pass" for sufurous compounds, what does this mean?

The production and preparation of this product are considered proprietary. Currently, there is no product option available that is tested for the presence of sulfur.

The product specification sheet for this product contains a recommended retest date period of roughly four years after the quality release date. A recommended retest date is the period of time during which the product is expected to remain within established stability specifications, provided that it has been stored under defined conditions.
