Anwendung

3,4-Dihydroxy-L-phenylalanin oder L-DOPA wurde zum Färben von Melanozyten verwendet.[1] Darüber hinaus wurde es an einem Drosophila-Modell der Parkinson-Krankheit eingesetzt, um dessen Wirkungen zu untersuchen.[2]

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

3,4-Dihydroxy-L-phenylalanin oder L-DOPA ist ein natürliches Isomer des unmittelbaren Vorläufers von Dopamin, das die Blut-Hirn-Schranke überquert. Es wird zur Behandlung von Parkinson[3] verwendet und ist ein Produkt der Tyrosinhydroxylase.

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  3. Hello I want to perform some enzyme activity assays with tyrosinase from mushroom , is this reagent suitable as a substrate to perform the assay by spectrophotometry? Thank you very much!

    1. Yes, this product is used as a substrate in enzymatic analysis of product T3824, Tyrosinase from mushroom. This assay is performed to determine the polyphenol oxidase activity of the enzyme. The unit definition of Tyrosinase product is as follows:
      One unit will cause a decrease in A265 of 0.001 per minute at pH 6.5 at 25 deg C. In a 3 mL reaction mixture containing L-Beta-3,4-dihydroxyphenyl-alanine (L-DOPA)

  4. I want to know the solvent, storage method, and storage period.

    1. As mentioned in the product Data Sheet, L-DOPA is slightly soluble in water (approximately 3.3 mg/ml) and in acidic and basic solutions. It is practically insoluble in ethanol. The stability of the product in solution has not been determined. See the statement below for further information. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature.
