L(+)-Lactate emerges as a crucial metabolic byproduct within the animal body, synthesized via the enzyme Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH). Notably, L(+)-Lactate, the predominant isomer generated during human metabolic processes, typically circulates in the bloodstream at concentrations ranging from 1 to 2 mmol/L.

Principle
In this assay, the quantification of lactate is achieved through an enzymatic method that yields a color change (observable at 570 nm) or a fluorescent signal (with an excitation wavelength of 535 nm and emission wavelength of 587 nm), both of which correlate directly with the amount of lactate in the sample. The sensitivity range of this kit is capable of detecting lactate concentrations as low as 0.2 - 10 nmol/well.
