Descripción general

El 1,4-butanediol diglicidil éter (BDDE) es un líquido viscoso de naturaleza higroscópica. El BDDE es el compuesto epóxido homobifuncional utilizado con más frecuencia. El BDDE puede reaccionar con aminas, hidroxilos y grupos sulfhidrilo para producir aminas secundarias, éteres o enlaces tioéter, respectivamente.[1]

Aplicación

El BDDE es un agente reticulante utilizado
  • para preparar amilosa, xilano e hidroxietilcelulosa[2]
  • para el entrecruzamiento de la polietilenimina, que también actúa como una capa de bloqueo de orificios en las células solares orgánicas[3]
  • para el entrecruzamiento del ácido hialurónico en los hidrogeles[4]
  • para la activación de los polímeros solubles de dextrano.
  • Soportes bis-epoxi que contienen amina o hidróxido se hacen reaccionar con el BDDE para formar partículas que contengan en grupo epóxido terminal para reacciones de inmovilización.[1]

    1. Stability information is available only for room temperature, and no stability data exists for refrigerated temperatures. All stability data is qualified for an unopened container, and there is no stability or shelf life guarantee after the container has been opened.

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.
