The mechanism of action for the Nitric Oxide Synthase Inhibitor Screening Kit comprises two steps:

• NO Detection Step: Following NO generation, the produced NO undergoes rapid oxidation to form nitrite and nitrate. The measurement of NO production is then conducted by quantifying the reduction of nitrate to nitrite, employing an enhanced Griess method.

Principio

The Nitric Oxide Synthase Inhibitor Screening Kit involves two steps: a NOS reaction step during which NO is produced followed by an NO detection step. Since the NO generated by NOS is rapidly oxidized to nitrite and nitrate, the NO production is measured following reduction of nitrate to nitrite using an improved Griess method.
