Isopentyl acetate is an alarm pheromone[1] present in honey bees, which may affect the brain and hence, provoke a quick defensive response, thereby influencing their behavior for a longer period of time.[1][2]

Aplicación

Isopentyl acetate may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in fruits,[3] wine,[4][5][6] and aqueous solutions of alcohols[7] by various gas chromatography (GC) based techniques.
