Ferroin serves as an indicator of oxidation reduction reactions[1] in titrimetric analysis. Ferroin is the complex of 1,10-phenanthroline and Fe(II).[2] It is also used as a catalyst for Belousov−Zhabotinsky reaction.[3]

Aplicación

Ferroin indicator solution is suitable for wastewater analysis of the parameters like chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total organic carbon (TOC).
