General description

C5338-10G′s update product number is GE17-0981-01
Cyanogen bromide-activated Sepharose 4 Fast Flow is a resin composed of cross-linked 4% agarose beads that has been pre-activated with cyanogen bromide. Proteins and other molecules containing primary amino groups are coupled directly to the preactivated gel. It allows for multi-point attachment of protein ligands which minimizes ligand leakage. The resin is available in a range of different bulk pack sizes and convenient pre-packed formats for easy scale-up and process development.

Application

Cyanogen bromide-activated-Sepharose is used in affinity chromatography and protein chromatography. Cyanogen bromide-activated-Sepharose has been used to discover insecticidal agents, to raise polyclonal antibodies against the yeast invertase glycosyls, and to study immunological processes of xenograft rejection.

  3. What does Sepharose 4 Fast Flow mean in the description of Product C5338?

    1 answer
    1. Sepharose 4 Fast Flow is a highly crosslinked 4% agarose matrix which gives excellent physical stability and chromatographic qualities.  It was developed to meet high throughput demands of industrial process separations.  The rigidity of the resin permits high flow rates, which in turn gives good resolution in a minimum amount of time
