I am performing an analysis stating the use of Catrimide R is necessary but that according to the European Pharmacopoeia is Cetrimide CASnr 8044-71-1. Is this interchangeable with the CASnr 1119-97-7?

CAS number 8044-71-1 refers to a mixture of alkyltrimethylammonium bromides. It is not a specific compound but rather a blend of similar quaternary ammonium compounds. CAS number 1119-97-7 refers to trimethyltetradecylammonium bromide. So these two CAS numbers refer to different compounds and are not interchangeable.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
