Allgemeine Beschreibung

Das Standardreferenzmaterial (SRM) ist Feinstaub, der in der Gegend um St. Louis, MO, USA in einer speziell für diesen Zweck entwickelten Schlauchfilteranlage gesammelt wurde. Die für die Bestandteile des SRM angegebenen Werte beziehen sich auf die Trockenmasse; “wie erhalten” enthält das Material jedoch eine Restfeuchte. Die Partikelgrößenverteilung von SRM 1648a wurde durch ein im Handel erhältliches Laserdiffraktometrieinstrument von Malvern Instruments bestimmt. Der Feinstaub wurde in wässriger Suspension gemessen und ist in “Ergänzende Informationen für SRM 1648a” detailliert beschrieben.

Die zertifizierten Werte beziehen sich auf die Übereinstimmung der Ergebnisse von zwei oder mehr chemisch unabhängigen Analyseverfahren, die von NIST und kooperierenden Fachlaboratorien erhalten wurden. Die Zertifizierung von SRM 1648a mit der angegebenen Messunsicherheit ist gültig, solange das SRM in Übereinstimmung mit den in “Anweisungen für Lagerung und Verwendung” bereitgestellten Anweisungen gehandhabt und gelagert wird.

Anwendung

Es ist hauptsächlich zur Verwendung als Qualitätssicherungsmaterial und für die Bewertung von Verfahren in der anorganischen Analyse sowie die Bestimmung von ausgewählten polycyclischen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen (PAH), nitrosubstituierten PAH (Nitro-PAH), PCB-Kongeneren (polychloriertes Biphenyl) und chlorierten Pestiziden in Feinstaub und ähnlichen Matrizen vorgesehen.

Oligodendrocytes, myelin-forming cells in the brain, are vulnerable to oxidative stress. Recent work indicates that air pollution causes demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis. However, little is known about the mechanism of toxicity of ultrafine particulate matters (PMs) to oligodendrocytes.

  1. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  3. Hello. Would the autoclaving of 1648a particles result in different states or reactivity when treated with cells?

    1. This product should not be heated beyond 30 °C and therefore should not be autoclaved. This product is intended for use as a GCMS standard and has not been assessed for other applications.
